Saturday, January 26th, 2008 - Casa Blanca / Art Murder gallery (1801 W Van Buren St, downtown Phoenix, at 18th Ave and Van Buren)

with The Relics, Hung Dynasty, Juicy Newt and Drop Spin.

We're back! We had great time on a Saturday night, seeing old friends, making new ones, and playing a great venue. Once again thanks to our good friends in Hung Dynasty for the hookup!

Thursday, November 16th, 2006 - The Paisley Violin (1030 NW Grand Ave, downtown Phoenix)

with Hung Dynasty and Melissa Polinar.

This was a benefit show for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2005 - Hollywood Alley (2610 W Baseline in Mesa, NE corner of 101 and Baseline)

with Projekt Green and Cabbage

Dorks in Space exacted rock and roll revenge on the Valley. It was good to meet the fine folks of Cabbage and enjoy their tunes into the wee hours. Thanks to all for coming out on a Wednesday night.

Thursday, December 16th, 2004 - The Paper Heart

with Space Tourists

We did not cover AC/DC's "Mistress for Christmas." We had a great time playing this show and it felt really good to rock after so long. Thanks to all who showed up and especially to the bassist's sister, who had to go home and vomit afterwards due to a deli-meat related food poisoning incident.

Wednesday, September 1st, 2004 - The Paper Heart

Stash represents Dorks in Space at the Final Frontier Show

Surprise! There was be rocking! And other bands! It was good to get out and participate in some rock and roll after taking a break. Stash sounded good, and we enjoyed listening to English Cowboy (we missed the other band, sorry). Black Susan especially admired the bassist's paisley shirt.

Thursday, June 17th, 2004 - Salt River Saloon

We started at 9:30 pm and we rocked all damn night.

Saturday, May 29th, 2004 - Big Fish Pub

with The Manhattan Press, Red Light Flicker Dickies, El Gringo Loco, Old Fashion Assassin, and Arm The Homeless

A big, sweaty, grimacing "rrrrrrrRRRRRROCCKKKKKK!!!" to all our friends and new faces who came to see us at the Big Fish Pub last night. We tried to stuff as much rock as possible in our 30-minute set and we hope we did not disappoint. We want to be your less-talk-more-rock all-purpose easy-to-use budget-priced solution for all your rocking needs. And a big upthrust devil sign to the Manhattan Press, Red Light Flicker Dickies, El Gringo Loco, Old Fashion Assassin, and Arm the Homeless for keeping the Big Fish stage burning and exploding all night and thanks to Donnie at the Big Fish for havin' us.

Saturday, May 15th, 2004 - Reva's graduation party

Congrats, Reva, and thanks for letting us rock your backyard. Thanks to your neighbors, too. Those little kids across the fence in the treehouse seemed to have a good time, though. Setlist? did anyone save a setlist? Well, we all know the highlight of the set was the serious fiddle shreddin' on "Man of Constant Sorrow" courtesy DIS' first Guest Dork ever, Master Reva! We hope all the guests were happy they chose the ROCK!! Oh, and everybody make sure to catch Reva's show at the Paper Heart on Tuesday, June 1.

with Modified Pulse

Dorksformers! wookachookawonk! More than meets the eye! *tense chord* Dorksformers! wookachookawonk! Dorkobots wage the battle to destroy the evil forces of... the Lackofrockticons! Stash KovakIt was a fine time at the Paper Heart. We rocked until we could rock no more and thanks to Modified Pulse to picking up the torch and finishing the job burning the place down, not to mention bringing over so many enthused rockaholics. We hope our rock was the fat 84 mph fastball right in your wheelhouse that we try to serve up whenever we're on the mound. We want you to take us deep like we're Matt Mantei. Er, with that thought, on to the setlist.

Wednesday, April 28th, 2004 - Ziggy's Rock and Roll Lounge

Wow, that seriously kicked ass. Things turned out a little differently than we expected. We thought we were going to be the first of two or three bands, but due to various issues, the other acts canceled out. Dorks In Space was left with the sole responsibility of rocking the rock-hungry patrons of Ziggy's. Instead of a tidy little 40-minute set, we reshuffled and expanded on the spot and delivered two 35-minutish sets of Dorkness. At the management's insistence, I cranked the Sovtek quite a bit further than it usually gets in the dining room and boy that felt nice. We can't say "Thank You" enough to all y'all for showing up, on short short notice, in the middle of the week, just for us. And a big thank you to Jake and Josh and everyone at Ziggy's for the offering us this dangerous rock and roll commando operation. We hope everyone feels it was a smashing success, with dictatorships toppled, distressed damsels rescued, and peace, democracy, and power chords flowering everywhere. WE sure had fun. Q, drumming

Saturday, April 17th, 2004 - CD Release Party for "Free Range Astromeat"

I don't believe this band has ever rocked this hard, as evidenced by how out of tune I managed to whack my low E string during "Black #1". I am seriously shocked I did not break any strings during the performance. And we nailed all the harmonies in "Cinnamon Girl". Jeremy has kindly posted some of his photos on his webpage. Our set list was: Black Susan

Much love to those sack-punishing nut cases moshing in the kitchen. We hope the Humperdinck LP's and Nelson CD's and Harlequin romance novels keep their new owners' hearts all warm and fuzzy. Stay tuned for Andria's photos and stuff.
